Mahabharata is often deemed the fifth Veda, which is equally venerable as the four Vedas. The critical edition calls it "an inexhaustible mine for investigating religion, mythology, philosophy, law, customs, political and social institutions of ancient India." However, the geography described in the epic is a topic, which often searched for, but rarely discussed. In this talk, Dr. Shreenand Bapat (Registrar and Curator at the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute) sheds light on this extremely fascinating topic.
