The son of a wealthy tailoring mogul has been kidnapped. Mr Bellhouse has long since paid the ransom of half a million pounds, yet even days afterwards, his son Simon still hasn't reappeared. In desperation, he finally turns to Holmes and Watson. The two begin their investigation, but soon the question arises: is the kidnapping even real or is it merely staged?
