ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

"A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle follows Meg Murry, a young girl struggling with feelings of inadequacy, as she embarks on a perilous journey through space and time. Driven by the disappearance of her scientist father, Meg, along with her gifted younger brother Charles Wallace and schoolmate Calvin O'Keefe, is aided by three mysterious beings, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which. They travel via a method called tessering to different planets, and soon discover an evil force known as the "Black Thing" and a dark planet called Camazotz, where the minds of the inhabitants are controlled by a single entity called IT. The story uses concepts of science, math, and faith to explore themes of good versus evil, conformity versus individuality, and the importance of love.
