Its the day of the grand fête in Merrydale, and Willard "Wiggles" Wigglesworth has brought his hot air balloon along to give rides to the townsfolk. Johnnie Blue has fallen in love with Susie Sidebottom, the Mayors daughter, but when the pair offend the evil witch Halloweena she is determined to exact revenge. Soon Johnnie and Susie, together with Wiggles and Bessie, Johnnies larger-than-life mother, nd themselves a very long way from home.
